PreK4Ward Update 5/17/22

Registration for the 2022-2023 PreK4Ward will close at 5:00 pm CST on 5/27/2022. 

United Way of South Mississippi will begin notifying applicants via email for the Bayou View Elementary classroom in the Gulfport School District of the status of their child’s application the middle of next week (5/23 -5/27). 

Notifications to applicants in the Harrison County School District, which includes the following locations:  Crossroads, BelAire, Harrison Central, River Oaks, Saucier, D’Iberville, North WoolMarket and Lizana will begin in phases during the 2nd week of June.

UWSM is humbled by the overwhelming response from the community to this program. We appreciate each and every family that has taken the time to preregister their child. At this time over 260 applications have been received!! While we wish that we could accommodate every child unfortunately, only 180 places are available program wide.

For families that have completed the online preregistration application, please be sure to monitor your email including spam folder during the time frames listed above. You will receive an email from education@unitedwaysm.org indicating either that your child has been accepted and has a spot in the program or they have been placed on a waiting list should additional places become available.  The email notifications for HCSD classes will begin the 2nd week of June but will be completed in phases over the following weeks based on application date and location.
