A child not reading on grade level by 3rd grade is at an increased risk of not graduating from high school. Join United Way of South Mississippi in our efforts to improve literacy and grade level reading in South Mississippi.
United Way Readers work with students in grades 1-5 in local schools to improve literacy skills. They support students to stay on track, as well as provide support to local school districts and teachers to help build capacity. United Way Readers play a role in mentoring the future leaders of South Mississippi!
Below is the orientation video for potential and new Readers!
