United Way of South Mississippi has paired up with the Mississippi Surge and Loaves and Fishes food pantry to give back this thanksgiving!

The Surge will square off against the Knoxville IceBears for the first time this season on Saturday, November 23, at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. United Way of South Mississippi and the Mississippi Surge are asking fans to bring a few non-perishable food items to the game this Saturday. All proceeds will be delivered to Loaves and Fishes in Biloxi.

The Leo W. Seal, Jr. Day of Caring

Volunteers across the Mississippi Gulf Coast began last Friday, November 1, giving back to the community on the Leo W. Seal, Jr. Day of Caring. Leo Seal, Jr., a late resident of Bay St. Louis, was a pioneer for improving the community. His legacy as an advocate for education and community service inspired United Way of South Mississippi's biannual Day of Caring. The Mississippi Surge kicked off the Day of Caring a few days early as they had an away game, but still wanted to be a part of the volunteer effort.
